Project Rising Sun is looking for a small plot of land that we can use as
A community garden for the production of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers;
A place to provide education in nutrition, gardening, and economics for children and adults;
A means of providing donations of fresh produce to local food banks and soup kitchens;
A gathering place for community events, both social and educational.
We want to divide our gardening space into individual plots that will be "leased" for free to individual and community members or families who will be responsible for planting, maintaining and harvesting the plot. Additional plots will be maintained by garden volunteers and used for educational and charitable purposes.
